As a former litigator, she is well-versed with various federal, state, and local employment laws. Karen’s success in court and before the EEOC, DOL, and OFCCP allows her to counsel clients and develop policies, procedures, and training to help prevent litigation. Karen provides invaluable, no nonsense, legal guidance to employers because, as a former human resources professional, she understands the employer perspective.

Karen received a B.S.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville, and was the Vice President of Human Resources at Metro United Way.  In 2001, she earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HRCI before returning to the University of Louisville and earning a J.D., magna cum laude, and an M.B.A., summa cum laude.  Karen is admitted to practice in Kentucky and has been repeatedly recognized by Kentucky Super Lawyers® and The Best Lawyers in America®.
